HGTV Green Home 2011 architect Michael Woodley drew inspiration from the Prairie School, an architectural movement that took hold in Chicago at the turn of the century. A group of young architects, led by such noteworthy contributors as Frank Lloyd Wright, sought to establish a truly American home style that personified the American Midwest and echoed no other architectural form. Clients included those who were drawn to the Arts and Crafts Movement.
