A bioswale, lined with river slicks, will direct water from the roof, downspouts and the subsurface drainage system along the north side of the home to a rain pond, located in the front yard. Existing landscaping, including leaf mold, native fern and maple, oak and hickory saplings, will lend interest in this area.
